I often get the question how to make homemade dinner rolls. Note that I am a perfectly straight man who likes to make dinner rolls for his kids, and they love it!
- Done rolling the rolls
- Ready for the oven
- Ready for the kids
So, here is my receipe for homemade dinner rolls:
- 1 pack of dry yeast (50g)
- 5 dl of warm water/milk
- 1 dl of soya oil/melted butter
- 8 tea spoons of sugar
- 2 tea spoons of vanilla sugar
- 2 tea spoons of cardamom
- 1 tea spoon of salt
- 2 eggs
- Raisins
- Flour
I start by mixing the yeast and the warm water/milk before I continue adding the rest (except the flour). The flour should be added little by little until you have a soft, but sticky dough. While making the rolls I never use more flour than needed, hence, the dough should be sticky, but also let go of your hand.
