Homemade Dinner Rolls

I often get the question how to make homemade dinner rolls. Note that I am a perfectly straight man who likes to make dinner rolls for his kids, and they love it!

So, here is my receipe for homemade dinner rolls:

  • 1 pack of dry yeast (50g)
  • 5 dl of warm water/milk
  • 1 dl of soya oil/melted butter
  • 8 tea spoons of sugar
  • 2 tea spoons of vanilla sugar
  • 2 tea spoons of cardamom
  • 1 tea spoon of salt
  • 2 eggs
  • Raisins
  • Flour

I start by mixing the yeast and the warm water/milk before I continue adding the rest (except the flour). The flour should be added little by little until you have a soft, but sticky dough. While making the rolls I never use more flour than needed, hence, the  dough should be sticky, but also let go of your hand.
